Responsible for manufacture and testing of prototype andproduction-equivalent Auris systems. Works closely with R&D engineers onearly-stage designs. Adheres to GMP and GDP principles for medical devicemanufacturing, when applicable. Executes draft manufacturing procedures andprovides early continuous improvement feedback. Supports pilot line floorlayout and maintains an orderly workspace. Identifies nonconforming product andworks alongside manufacturing engineering for root cause assessment.Core Job Responsibilities:
Assembly of electro-mechanical sub-assemblies and completesystems. Integration of motion control, PCAs, hardware, sensors, etc.
Execute prototype assembly and test procedures, capturingredlines and opportunities for improvement.
Configuration of PC hardware and software as part ofsystem builds.
Apply GMP and GDP principles to assembly and test recordsand documentation when applicable.
Participation in daily standups, communicating progressmade and problem areas where help is needed. Projects estimated timeline to jobcompletion.
Self-starter; seeks to be productive when current projectis blocked temporarily.
Identifies and escalates nonconforming products andsupports root cause investigation alongside manufacturing engineering.
Execute rework or repair instructions with coordinationwith manufacturing engineering
Support day-to-day coordination and scheduling of flooractivities with materials and planning teams.
Leads in 5S and continuous improvement initiatives on thepilot line floor.
3-5+ years of medical device or capital equipment assembly and test experience, robotics preferredAbility to read mechanical drawings and wiring schematics
Ability to work with and configure computer hardware and software
Understand and apply GMP and GDP principles in manufacturing.
Experience in coordinating build planning and schedules with materials and production planning teamsAgile PLM experience preferred Work Environment:
This position operates in a laboratory/assembly environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.Physical Demands
May require lifting of up to 50 lbs and operation of hoisting equipment for heavier loads
May require prolonged periods of standing, bending, sitting, and kneeling during system assemblyPosition Type and Expected Hours of Work:
Availability to work extended day shift preferred (8AM-4:30PM) to overlap with R&D
May periodically rotate into sustaining manufacturing activities depending on R&D schedules
