You are a tireless advocate for the power of design, for the importance of good design process, and for creating a culture that supports these. You are the most vociferous advocate for AbleTo s various users - those suffering from anxiety and depression, the therapists and coaches who support them, and our internal teams that power the system.
Responsibilities
Recruit top design talent.
Support, grow, and retain top design talent.
Help craft and lead our design processes, including problem definition, user research and testing, and data-driven prototyping/iteration.
Oversee design process, systems, and execution.
Partner with product marketing and product management to help set product vision and articulate that to other stakeholders and the world.
Hold a high design bar. Insist upon consistency and quality in every experience AbleTo designs, creates, and ships.
Build and maintain a roadmap of design work and ensure the team is efficiently allocated to tackle it.
Partner with product management, engineering, and other stakeholders outside of design to ensure company-wide design consistency.
Evangelize the value of design and communicate it across the organization.

Qualifications
Experience:
10+ years as a Product Designer
4+ years as a Design Leader or Manager
Experience scaling a design team
Experience crafting, leading and evangelizing design processes
Experience working on complex products with multiple stakeholders
Experience using design systems and pattern libraries
Experience recruiting, nurturing, and retaining top design talent
Nice to have: Experience in mental health or healthcare
Competencies:

Ability to champion user needs while being data-driven and understanding business context.
Ability to oversee design recruiting and people management.
Outstanding user empathy and proven ability to uncover user needs through research.
