The Product Manager works with the Catalent s Business Unit Leadership teams and Catalent s Central Marketing team to develop the growth and go-to-market strategies and plans and helps drive lead generation and marketing communications tactics.
The Product Manager will report to the Senior Director Global Strategic Marketing - Consumer Health.
In concert with Catalent s Patient First philosophy, this position is key in our
efforts toward continuous improvement of our processes & information which will
allow quality drug products to reach patients safely and efficiently.
Assess market potential for Catalent s products and services with target customers and segments, and drive implementation of growth and go-to-market strategies with relevant business and technical teams to achieve business objectives, and in coordination with Corporate Marketing, develop the appropriate global & regional marketing strategies for North America and Europe.
Create and communicate clear strategy and marketing plans which outline resources, actions, and tactics needed to drive growth and manage the lifecycle of our offerings in the VMS and Beauty segments.
Identify high-impact tactics as part of the marketing and lead generation plan to support and execute the strategy.
Provide comprehensive reporting on market data for key products and categories of interest to our business, including clear communication of customer trends, needs, key benefits, Catalent s value propositions, and other marketplace dynamics that impact our offerings.
In partnership with product development, identify and recommend new products, formulations, or technologies to increase or defend market share.
Lead training on new products, messaging, and communication platforms for business development (sales)
The Role (daily responsibilities)
Establish and maintain key category and product report / dashboard to be published to the business unit monthly.
Actively monitor competitor activity and maintain competitive intelligence analysis to be incorporated into strategic planning.
Drive customer segmentation and target analysis in coordination with business development.
Identify and manage key opinion leader network to be utilized to generate high-value content to be utilized in tactical execution of Marketing Plans.
Partner with Corporate Marketing to generate print and digital advertising and content as needed to support Marketing Plans and business development needs.
Identify high value events and conferences in the VMS and Beauty segments for Catalent participation
Track effectiveness of plans by ensuring KPIs such as awareness, lead generation, conversion, share, etc. are met or exceeded.
Maintain on-line assets as current and fresh, working with digital marketing to optimize search results, monitor web page performance, and suggest improvements as needed.
Monitor marketplace for new technologies that may compete with our offerings or could be developed and/or acquired to bolster them.
Provide market analysis on as needed basis for technology and product development projects.
The Candidate (requirements)
Bachelor s Degree with business or marketing focus, MBA preferred.
Minimum 5 years of experience as Brand/Product Manager or Associate Brand/Product Manager
Minimum of 3 years of VMS and/or Beauty product marketing experience required
Experience with market intelligence platforms (e.g. IMS, IRI, Euromonitor, etc.)
Proficiency with MS Office platform (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
