Domestically, our 27 field offices across the US ensure new arrivals have food, shelter, and clothing, and work with refugees to help them gain self-sufficiency.SCOPE OF INTERN WORK: The Family Reunification Intern will play an important role in processing family reunification applications on behalf of IRC clients.COMMITMENT:The IRC is seeking two interns for this position. One beginning in April 2017, committing 3-6 months. A 2nd intern to begin in June 2017, committing 3-6 months.RESPONSIBILITIES: The Family Reunification Intern will assist in vetting and submitting family reunification applications in accordance with standards set forth by the Department of State's Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration. To include reviewing Affidavits of Relationship (AORs) received from IRC field offices, providing targeted feedback on required corrections or updates, if needed; distributing monthly caseload reports and daily appointment notices to field offices; and updating and maintaining detailed tracking of AOR submissions to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
