IDT Corporation is seeking a new teammate interested in a Business Development position to grow worldwide opportunities for our IDT Retail Telecom division. We are seeking someone to drive sales of our international minutes and payments services in order to benefit all facets of the company. This person will help promote our retail & product capabilities and drive business with mobile operators, carriers, and other companies.
As our US Retail representative, you will be required to present our capabilities as well as our product road map vision and support the sale & development of strategic partnerships with our carrier customers around the world. The successful candidate will need to clearly understand the marketplace and how to exploit available resources to present solutions as a means to secure new opportunities. You will work closely with the Wholesale Team Account Managers to ensure that shared goals are reached.
This is a dynamic, high impact position that reports to the Director Retail, and he/she will interact with colleagues across the IDT organization in order to advance the Channel goals as IDT's products and company continue our rapid international expansion.
We are looking for candidate who is a bilingual, skilled, and a self-motivated individual who is comfortable working in a dynamic, diverse, and fast moving environment.
You would have the chance to:
* Work closely with the Sales, Analytics and Wholesale teams to ensure successful completion of the sales process and product roll out.
* Sell during face-to-face customer contact with high value accounts
* Establish and leverage effective customer relationships to ensure successful sales prospects.
* Provide accurate weekly reports by agreed deadlines and ad-hoc reports when requested
* Participate in events to gain first-hand experience with clients
* Support the development of business proposals/presentations that maximize profitability while securing new business
* Have a full understanding of the customer offer and experience delivered by direct and indirect competitors
* Time allocation of 30% Traveling and 70% in-office
Ideally, you would have:
* Bachelor's Degree in a Business or Communications field is required
* 2-3 years of business development experience, B2B, or similar
* Experience in telecommunications solutions preferred
* Proven record of achieving success in business and handling more complex sales with multi contacts within an organization
* Capable of working within a growing company and able to build strong relationships and credibility with customers both internally and externally
* Proven record of customer relationship building and implementing customer focused sales activities
* Proven ability to work independently with little direction while attaining regular success
* Trade show experience both presenting and meeting generation
* Strong presentation skills and ability to network
* Results oriented focus with refined skills in communication, organization, and negotiation
