IT Financial Planning & Analysis Lead Description The Financial Planning & Analysis Lead analyzes and forecasts financial, economic, and other data to provide accurate and timely information for strategic and operational decisions. The Financial Planning & Analysis Lead works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial. Responsibilities The Financial Planning & Analysis Lead collects, compiles, verifies, and analyzes financial information and economic indicators so that senior management has accurate and timely information for making strategic and operational decisions on, for example, acquisitions, investments, capital expenditure, divestitures, mergers, or the sale of assets. Analyzes the financial implications of proposed investments or other transactions so that senior managers can evaluate alternatives against the organization's business objectives. Evaluates industry, economic, financial, and market trends to forecast the organization's short, medium, and long-term financial and competitive position. Analyzes revenues, expenses, costs, prices, investments, cash flow, profits, labor market trends, inflation, interest rates, and exchange rates. Exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks, and works under minimal supervision, Uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action. * Develop consolidated financial views of Fixed Assets Prepaid accounts for FP&A, Corporate Accounting, CFOs to demonstrate projection as a result of actuals vs budget for current month and future month investment spend * Provide counsel to Finance leaders and Corporate Accounting on financial impact of purchases for current year and future year impact * Issue resolution on matters that are cross-business functions such as unidentified assets, write off assets and prepaid expenses * Continuous process improvement for managing assets within the Fixed Assets system * Lead validation of allocation model methodology to align fixed asset expense to appropriate towers * Lead a team consisting of a Senior Finance Professional, Finance Professional 2 and a Finance Specialist 3 - daily activities and all HR activities * Provide guidance to Senior Professionals on tools, processes and required analysis to be completed each month * Provide 30-60-90 day software renewal updates * Partner with Fixed Assets to develop a process / tool that will track Internally Developed Software at the software asset ID level * Partner with Accounts Payable and Fixed Assets to match Hardware depreciation and financial assets (Workstations, Servers, etc?) to our asset management system * Partner with Accounts Payable Fixed Assets to match purchased software assets and depreciation to the appropriate Software Asset ID * Serve as the representative to the Corporate driven Capital Management working team * Develop monthly cash flow analysis for the Corporate finance team * Create processes to predict roll offs and timing of items (30-60-90 days) that can be impacted for Repairs and Maintenance and Other Rent (leases) Required Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field * 8+ years of finance and/or accounting experience, or equivalent and 2+ years of project leadership experience * Experience advising senior leadership on financial strategies * Knowledge of complex accounting and financial transactions for internal and external reporting * Prior experience developing methods and criteria for measuring and summarizing data for complex analyses * Ability to lead and manage special projects that may necessitate cross-functional partnerships Preferred Qualifications * Master's Degree in Business Administration or a CPA strongly preferred * Prior experience working with capital planning, depreciation, prepaid and net book value * Prior IT Finance experience * Prior IT project management experience or managing IT project expense Scheduled Weekly Hours 40 Louisville, KY* Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field * 8+ years of finance and/or accounting experience, or equivalent and 2+ years of project leadership experience * Experience advising senior leadership on financial strategies * Knowledge of complex accounting and financial transactions for internal and external reporting * Prior experience developing methods and criteria for measuring and summarizing data for complex analyses * Ability to lead and manage special projects that may necessitate cross-functional partnerships, * Master's Degree in Business Administration or a CPA strongly preferred * Prior experience working with capital planning, depreciation, prepaid and net book value * Prior IT Finance experience * Prior IT project management experience or managing IT project expense
