The Associate Vice President of Product Management, Pharmacy will play a key role in redefining the future of clinical care and pharmacy. This is an exciting opportunity to join our rapidly growing clinical product organization. Reporting into the Chief Clinical Product Officer as part of the Healthcare Services segment, this role will be focused on the full-suite of Pharmacy products. This role will create the product strategy and have decision rights to set the product direction, decide for the product what to build, design, launch/release, and manage & optimize an entirely new line of cutting-edge pharmacy products for the company. The Product AVP will have direct influence with other VPs of Product and Operations at Humana as well as External entities such as Provider Practices and Direct-to-Consumer efforts. Particularly, this role will need to serve as a subject matter expert to showcase and define Pharmacy products , so Product leaders (internal and external) can utilize this expertise within their strategies that is consistent and aligns with company goals.. The ideal candidate also has significant experience launching consumer-facing products and leading highly matrixed teams to create compelling, resonant customer experiences to drive both clinical and financial outcomes.. Scope:. Focused on Pharmacy products, this leadership role will be accountable for the product strategy and will have decision rights to set the product roadmaps, decide for the product capabilities, what to build/partner, design, launch, and manage an entirely new line of cutting-edge products for the company and optimize current portfolio. This leadership role will be accountable for translating and representing the pharmacy analytic and data needs and will set the strategy and direct the processes. This role will have direct influence with Operations leaders, SVPs and Segment Presidents at Humana as well as external entities such as Provider Practices and Payers. This role will have significant influence across entire organization and company.. Impact of the role:. Products developed by this role could reach all 10M Humana insured members plus PDP members. Results have direct impact on clinical operational expenses, operational costs and department outcomes. Results delivered by this leader have direct impact on clinical and member experiences.. Key Responsibilities. Own strategic product planning and establish a shared vision for Pharmacy product line. Manage the development and execution of comprehensive, strategic product development and partnership plans aimed at: delivering innovative, effective, and highly-competitive products and solutions.. Accountable for all aspects of the assigned product lines including user experience, buyer experience, development and execution, and for ensuring that investment and performance are consistent with customer needs. Responsible for the end-to-end member journey experience. Defines requirements to drive improved customer experiences and outcomes based on external inputs ( e.g., regulatory changes, member needs, market innovation, etc.). Lead and manage the execution of relevant capabilities and sub-capabilities needed for his solution; capabilities could potentially go cross various lines of business within HCS and various product lines. In collaboration with other product and clinical leaders, responsible for defining and leading the execution of roadmap for a unified customer experience across our applications and services.. Partnering closely with operations, customer success teams and enterprise teams, this leader will drive the development of products that deliver on both clinical outcomes and financial outcomes. Build and manage a high-performing team as the responsibilities of the group increase. Serve as the focal point for leadership with internal partners making key strategic product and positioning decisions. Own budget, scope and execution for the assigned product lines. Lead the prioritization and execution of investment opportunities within all segments for the assigned product lines. Validate new market opportunities, assess client needs and build ROI driven business plans. Collaborate with other product leaders to seek new opportunities to monetize our distinctive competence. Determines when to discontinue investment into capabilities and user experiences, as part of lifecycle management. Define and analyze the core metrics that will inform the success of products. Reports on product-level outcomes: uptake, consumer engagement, clinical impact. Collaborates with Customer Success Partners and Product Line Leaders on potential test and learn opportunities. Sets requirements for the delivery of the product and ensures successful execution through close relationships with operations and external vendors. Manages internal and external vendor(s) to ensure that the product is delivered in line with cost and service level targets. Coordinates with a vendor management team which is responsible for day-to-day management of external vendor(s). Manage analytic and data needs, translate business knowledge into data-driven questions, direct the development of repeatable processes, set prioritization and roadmaps. Primary measures of success:. Clinical and financial outcomes. Meaningful adoption (percentage of eligible members actively using product). Member/customer engagement with the product driven by integrated/personalized experiences (NPS, active engagement metrics). For vended and built capabilities, delivery cost vs. budge. Key Candidate Qualifications. Minimum 12+ years of product management experience; at least 8 years with pharmacy products. Bachelor's degree in business management, marketing, or related field; MBA or PharmD preferred. Strong leader with minimum 10 years of experience in managing, coaching, and leading staff including multi-functional teams. Proven record of developing user-centered, innovative pharmacy solutions. Solid track record of driving solutions that achieved clinical and financial outcomes. Ability to adapt quickly and juggle multiple competing priorities in a fast paced environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to comfortably and effectively communicate with a variety of business leaders from operators, to physicians, to management. Both quantitative and qualitative analysis experience, with the ability to drive to trend identification and actionable insights. Role Desirables. Strong interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of individuals at all levels of the organization.
