OverviewThe Public Health Outcomes Coordinator reporting to the Associate Director of Outcomes for the Public and Patient Education Department (PPED) will be responsible for providing analytical and research support, and overseeing the data management process for PPED. S(he) will also be responsible for developing and measuring program outcomes for the Sports Safety Program. In addition, s(he) will work with the hospital's interdisciplinary team on Quality Improvement Continuing Education (QICE) to coordinate the team efforts as well as data collection, analysis and reporting activities. In addition, to the roles specified above, s(he) is also responsible for managing the HSS Asian Community Bone Health Initiative. In this role, (s)he will identify the medical and educational needs of the Asian community, and based on these needs, develop, implement and evaluate educational and exercise programs related to bone health. S(he) will also be providing program and data support for the Pediatric Outreach Program's (POP) musculoskeletal screenings.Major job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:* Manage the collection and analysis of measurable outcomes related to Community Benefits efforts for PPED, HSS' Community Service Plan, and Community Health Needs Assessment* Manage data collection, statistical analysis and reporting activities for PPED, POP, QICE and the Sport Safety Program* Manage data management systems, and develop and identify evaluation tools (i.e. surveys) that effectively measures the impact of programs on the community* Conduct literature reviews, in-depth interviews and focus groups* Develop monthly, quarterly or yearly data reports as needed* Coordinate team meetings, and prepare meeting agendas and minutes* Coordinate the submission of all IRB protocols* Coordinate the day-to-day operations of the PPED Program Assistant (per-diem)* Manage the HSS Asian Community Bone Health Initiative under the direction of the Associate Director of Public & Patient Education* Independently develop and implement education and exercise programs related to bone health in accordance with the needs of the Asian community* Manage existing partnerships with community partners and develop new partnerships with community based organizations serving the Asian community* Work closely with internal and external faculty in delivering educational programs* Supervise exercise instructor in implementing exercise classes, including recruitment, support and relationship managementQualifications:* Bachelor's degree in public health, educational psychology, behavioral or social sciences or related field. Master's degree is a plus* 1 - 2 years' experience in a social research setting is required* Experience in evaluation design and research methodology as well as collection, analysis and interpretation of qualitative and quantitative data is essential* Ability to speak Mandarin is preferred* Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) is essential* Solid grounding in usage of SPSS* Proficiency with qualitative analysis software, such as Atlas ti, NUD*IST, and or NVIVO is preferred* Candidates must have well developed written and oral communication skills and be highly organized* Ability to excel in a fast-paced, clinically oriented environment is a must* Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously is a mustQualifications..Other Requirements..Posted by StartWire.
