Job Summary: In support of the company's Healthcare Value Strategy, this position will drive successful implementation of our innovative provider agreements, which are new models of reimbursement and care delivery. By working closely with our provider partners, this position will help define deliverables, structure project work plans, provide thought leadership, and manage cross-functional teams within a matrix reporting structure. This position will also serve as a key liaison between Horizon and our strategic provider partners through three key phases: deal negotiation, partnership implementation, and post-implementation support and governance. The employee will assist in the development of the long-term operating model to support these relationships. Responsibilities: Assist in the development of business cases to vet and support strategic investments. Lead cross-functional teams within a matrix reporting structure (Legal, Finance, HR, MBU, Service, IT, provider partners). Develop project charters, define deliverables, and structure project work plans. Deliver high-quality, actionable results, ensuring timely completion of project deliverables. Communicate project findings and results to key stakeholders, including Directors and VPs. Ensure compliance with any applicable regulations. Identify and track risks; develop, socialize and ensure implementation of appropriate contingency plans. Raise issues to the Director that need to be considered by an executive-level audience. Assist Director in providing updates and information across organization. Education/Experience: Bachelor's Degree required, post-graduate degree preferred. Analytical fields preferred. Minimum of 8 years work experience with minimum 2 years of healthcare experience. Experience in successfully leading cross-functional teams to achieve improvements. Project leadership/management experience a plus. Knowledge: Must be proficient in the use of personal computers and supporting software in a Windows based environment, including MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Lotus Notes; Should be knowledgeable in the use of intranet and internet applications. Requires knowledge of Principals of Health Care contracting. Requires knowledge of health care industry or health insurance industry. Requires knowledge of the hospital and physician communities in the state of New Jersey. Requires knowledge of laws and regulations regulating insurance, HMO, hospital and physician practice.
