This will be an exciting, fast paced and challenging role that puts you on the cutting edge of HPE ??s product development, technology innovation, and open source community activities. Open source software has become a business imperative for technology organizations, and HPE is no exception. The Open Source team within HPE is responsible for ensuring that all product and solution teams understand the strategic benefits of open source software, leverage its usage and contribution models, and follow the open source governance policies and processes established within the company. As the review process lead, you will triage and review (i.e. drive compliance of) incoming open source proposals from HPE teams, guide other team members, help educate product and solution teams on the opportunities and obligations of open source, represent HPE in the open source community at key conferences and other events, and help drive strategic alignment of HPE ??s open source and business strategies. Responsibilities: Lead the HPE open source compliance processes, working closely with Engineering and Legal Departments Triage and review open source proposals from HPE developers Mentor and guide other reviewers on the team Train product and solution teams on open source policy topics, including the legal implications of using open source Improve the documentation for stakeholders re: the review process Modify and adapt the review process to meet dynamic changes in the industry Represent HPE in the open source community at external events Education and Experience Required: Self-starter with 10+ years software development experience including familiarity with open source technologies and community concepts Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or the equivalent.
