L3Harris Technologies Security has an opening for a Manager of Industrial Security to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located within the Greater DC Area and responsible forthe security of the Herndon VA and Washington DC facilities. The individual will work in a fast-paced environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and a collaborative team setting.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following day-to-day security disciplines: Visitor Control and Badging, Personnel Security, Security Education and Training, Contracted Security oversight/management and Inspection preparation.
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessments, work assignments, salary and recognition/disciplinary actions.
E ssential Functions: Subject matter expert with comprehensive knowledge of Industrial Security and experience in Security Operations. Administrate and enforce policies and procedures implementing Government and Company security requirements. Ensure compliance with NISPOM, and Trade & Export Regulations. Manages large, complex project initiatives of substantial importance to the organization with minimal oversight or direction. Communicates within and outside of the organization to explain and influence changes to practices, processes and approaches. Develops and makes significant improvements in procedures, processes, and systems. Conducts extensive investigation to understand the root cause of problems. Research and implement federal security regulations, maintaining knowledge, and awareness of interdisciplinary compliance requirements. Provides input into new products/processes and implements operational plans that have measurable impact on business or functional results. Budget preparation and execution. AdviseSenior Leadership and staff in the interpretation of security policies and the development of plans and procedures to meet customer securityrequirements. Provide information during security incidents which may require data collection, report analysis and possible communication with appropriate personnel. Providedirection and training for personnel less proficientand less knowledgeable in the various functionaldisciplines. Assist internal and external customers in resolution of issues and concerns regarding customer related security requirements. Supportall security disciplines as necessary Other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications: Bachelors Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience OR Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. Work experience with CCTV, card access and related security systems. Project management knowledge and experience. Experience managing investigative processes to include interviewing, collection of evidence, and producing detailed, objective reports for Security and Senior Management. Work experiencewithMicrosoft Office Suite, MS ProjectManagement, and Excel Experienceinterpreting and authoring DD254s, SecurityClassification Guides, and other areas of security-relatedcontractmanagement.
Desired Qualifications: CurrentU.S. Government security clearance Previoussecurity operations/control center experience.
