At Guardian Protection Products were passionate about ensuring peace of mind by providing exceptional customer service to our extended warranty customers. The Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for overseeing the day to day human resources responsibilities and activities of the Guardian organization. The Human Resources Generalist will report to the Director of Human Resources of Guardians parent organization and will work locally with Guardians Executive Team.


  • Works with the Director of Human Resources to implement and monitor all parent organization policies, while identifying and developing any necessary variations to serve Guardian organizational goals.
  • Assist with all internal and external HR related matters.
  • Recommend strategies to motivate and retain employe
  • Manage Guardians recruitment process by identifying candidates, conducting interviews, performing reference checks and issuing employment contracts.
  • Investigate complaints brought forward by employees.
  • Coordinate employee development plans and performance management.
  • Participates and assists in employee new hire training, orientation and benefit enrollment.
  • Manage the organizations employee database and prepare reports.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations.Keep up-to-date with the latest HR trends and best practices.

Experience and Education Required

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university in Human Resources or related area;
  • Five years related experience as an HR Generalist;

Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Works comfortably under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information.
  • Must have experience with Microsoft Standard Office Suite and related HR software.
  • Superior organizational and conflict management skills.
  • Strong recruiting background.
  • Experience with organizations with over 25 employees.
  • Travel will be limited to under 10% of the time.
  • Bilingual Preferred (Spanish)


  • Valid drivers license
  • SHRM-CP /PHR certification desired

Work is generally performed in an office environment.Must be able to operate a computer keyboard and view a video display terminal.The movement and transportation of equipment, most of the time is under 25 pounds. Performs work under time schedules and stress which are normally periodic or cyclical, including time sensitive deadlines, intellectually challenging, some language barriers, and project management deadlines. Machines, tools, equipment, and work aids include printers, copiers, faxes, and other equipment commonly associated with an office work area.Will require working additional hours beyond normal schedule. Consistently demonstrates a commitment to policies and procedures, including but not limited to, attendance, confidentiality, conflict of interest, and ethical responsibilities.
