Reports to Clinical Manager. Administers occupational therapy treatments under the supervision of an occupational therapist; provides education and information to patients and caregivers; participates in required discharge planning and completes all required documentation according to policy. May be assigned other duties such as clinical instructor for student affiliations, performance improvement, and program development. Qualifications/Characteristics: Must be a graduate of an approved program for occupational therapy assistants. 2 years experience is preferred. Must have current national board certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
Other requirements include current CPR certification. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to operate and apply therapeutic equipment; ability to lift/push/pull light to heavy equipment, supplies, and patients; creativity and problem solving skills.
