About the Plant: Bowling Green Assembly has been the exclusive home of Corvette for over 30 years. Previously a Chrysler air-conditioning unit factory, the building was renovated to become a modern automotive factory befitting of America's sports car in 1981. The plant has the largest solar array of any automaker in the state of Kentucky. Today, Bowling Green features a new paint shop that uses dry scrubber technology, LED lighting and a limestone system to create a world-class paint job while minimizing our ecological footprint.

Job Description: Responsible for ensuring that all data / information for a flawless material flow system are available and accurate. Must support the GM Business Plan process and achieve scorecard targets set for the department. Will need to ensure internal control compliance for the specific job function.
* Interfaces with suppliers, parts warehouse, Lead logistics provider, engineers and plant floor personnel to resolve material issues and to identify new opportunities to improve current processes * Participates in the investigation of premium transportation issues * Responds to and resolves part issues on the floor such as: * Material \"stock out\" alarms * Plan for prevention of excess inventory * Standard pack and container labeling discrepancies * Resolves other supplier non-conformances * Participates in the Plan For Every Part process managing specific Material Flow tasks * Analyzes productive part receiving records * Manages material record adjustment activity in the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system. * Processes carrier claims for damaged inbound material * Investigates part histories to identify misuse, specification problems, unaccounted for scrap or potential theft * Responsible for managing end of model year obsolescence and meeting annual targets * Maintains GM Manufacturing standards * Analyze data to determine opportunities to decrease inventory, improve customer service levels and reduce total costs * Work with all levels of personnel in resolving issues, tracking material availability, and advising on material usage

Education and Training
* Bachelor degree from an accredited university with an emphasis on Supply Chain Management studies or equivalent experience
