What You Will Do


Gannett Fleming is looking for an experienced Scheduler to support the project team by leading schedule efforts relative to design and construction management. Based in San Mateo California, the successful candidate will lead the development of project schedules and progress reporting for transit projects of various sizes and complexity. Specific responsibilities will include:

Develop, manage, update, and monitor individual critical path method project schedules and integrated overall master program schedule.
Review schedule, progress and productivity of consultants and contractors, monitor and verify monthly costs and earned value, conduct change order management and control.
Communicates schedule status on a regular basis via formal and informal meetings and reports
Attend meetings with project managers to review and approve baseline schedules, and attend regularly scheduled meetings as necessary to stay current on schedules.
Analyzes construction schedules and recommend work-arounds and schedule improvement ideas
Support dispute and claim efforts by preparing and analyzing Time Impact Analyses
Develop and prepare monthly program and project progress summary reports.
Provide leadership and training to team members ensuring the resolution of difficult project control issues.
Establish and ensure scheduling standards are implemented.
Interface and maintain liaison with project management, client, and other consultants on all control related activities.
Perform schedule risk analysis to assess contingency needs.
Other related duties as required.









Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related field.
Minimum 10 years of relevant project controls, project analyst experience demonstrating increasing levels of responsibility in terms or project size and sophistication preferably in public transit/heavy construction and familiar with FTA policies and procedures strongly preferred.
Ability to work independently, think creatively and analytically, and make quick and sound decisions.
Must have excellent attention to detail.
One or more of the following credentials is strongly preferred: PMP (Project Management Professional) or PMI-SP (Schedule Professional).
Understanding of Earned Value Management.
Experience with advanced scheduling principles using Primavera 6 (P6) and MS Project.
Excellent verbal, communication and interpersonal skills; Proficiency with Microsoft Office especially Word and Excel.
