As an Optical Tech Operator I on our Fabrication team you will be tasked with setting up and running CNC Machines and measuring optical components that you produce using high precision metrology equipment and hand gauges. As an optical technician on 2nd shift, you will setup and run CNC equipment and troubleshoot issues, as necessary.

Primary Responsibilities:
Work from engineering drawings and process work instructions in accordance with established procedures, lean processes and standard work.
Set up, operate and maintain CNC machines in support of the production schedule.
Collect, analyze, and report data for production processes requiring basic math and statistical knowledge.
Provide technical support to less experienced optical technicians
Manually clean optical surfaces using wipes and solvents
Utilize metrology equipment to verify conformance of optical components to high precision specifications.
Working Conditions and Basic Requirements:
May require occasional heavy lifting (> 30 lbs) or movement of objects up to 40 lbs.
Involves exposure to chemicals and solvents.
Safety Glasses & Latex Gloves are required.
Must read, speak and understand English written instruction and documentation,
2nd shift hours: 3:30PM to 2:00AM Monday through Thursday



Must be a US Person as defined by 22 CFR 120.15 (Citizen, Permanent Resident).
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to provide technical support to less experienced operators
Minimum of 1 year of relevant CNC machining and measurement experience on high precision components
