Our solutions help power 8 of the world's 10 largest airlines and some of the most successful aviation and defense manufacturers in the world. Role Summary We are looking for a full-time or part-time Manager of Contracts and Compliance. The role of Manager of Contracts and Compliance interfaces with our business team leaders to support Flatirons needs with respect to digital/technology, privacy, security, customer service, real estate and general business matters. Responsibilities Draft, negotiate and manage the execution of a variety of commercial agreements, including license, SaaS, technology, master services, marketing advertising technology and confidentiality agreements. Coordinate and assist with the Company's strategic initiatives, including contract drafting and negotiation, due diligence, post-closing integration, and coordination of the various business teams throughout the process. Having primary responsibility for our global privacy strategy and compliance framework, including advising the business on relevant privacy and data protection laws, overseeing all legal and regulatory aspects of data collection and use, drafting privacy disclosures and policies and working closely with the Technology and Marketing teams to advise on the privacy implications of various initiatives and to ensure ongoing compliance with relevant regulations. Keep abreast, and advising on potential business impact, of proposed changes to applicable privacy, data security, consumer protection, marketing and related laws and regulations. Manage outside counsel in your areas of coverage. Conducting periodic employee training in your areas of coverage. Engage in and lead various other Legal projects and duties, including compliance and public policy matters. Assist accounting with collection matters Competency Be extremely bright but also have an EQ that matches your IQ, and ability to deal effectively with all levels of employees and management Have excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills Be detail-oriented, organized, efficient and resourceful with strong follow-through skills Have a practical, business-oriented approach to problem solving and be able to effectively counsel the business by providing them with clear, concise and commercial advice, and creative solutions where necessary, on established timelines to meet their business needs Have a strong desire to learn the business and function integrally as part of an interdisciplinary team Requirements Education/Experience Bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited four-year college or university in public administration, business administration, economic, law, finance management, contracting, risk management, or related field preferred A minimum of (5) or more years of experience drafting, negotiating, and managing contracts with government, commercial and international customers. Designation as a Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM) or certification in Contracts Management is desirable. Work experience in data protection and legal compliance is a plus. Solid knowledge of GDPR and national data protection laws preferred. Experience in the aviation industry would be helpful but is not required. Computer Skills Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)Salary Range: NAMinimum Qualification5 - 7 years
