Farmers offers 3 entry points into becoming an Insurance Agent/ Agency Owner with Farmers Insurance.

Agency Prote ge Programndash; For individuals who would like to gain some experience before owning their own agency. Successful candidates must be able obtain insurance licenses and will work directly with an established, successful mentoring agent for up to one year. Successful candidates will have the ability to solicit and sell insurance policies and provide customer service to policyholders. Producer must meet minimum requirements set by agency.

Agency Acquisition Program-Acquire an existing book of business and start with a residual income right away. Agents are eligible for a $10,000 office start up bonus and an enhanced commission structure for up to 3 years. Financing available Liquidity Required

Retail Program - Our Retail Agency Program is designed to give seasoned, well-capitalized professionals a turn-key system to quickly build a start-up Farmers Retail Agency location. We offer financial support to build. This is opening a new office from the ground up, no Acquisition. Here are some of the Highlights:

  • Economic Interest Sale of Service and Commission Rights
  • $10,000 Office Start-Up Bonus
  • Over $10,000 to use towards marketing
  • Up to 300% commission multiplier in the 1st year
  • Monthly Commission multiplier for additional 2 years
  • Annual New Business Commission multiplier up to 60% the first 3 years

Desired Skills and Experience

  • College degree preferred, but not required.
  • Sales customer service management experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented mindset
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Desire to be active in community
  • No bankruptcies within the last 12 months
  • Not more than $1000 in collections
  • Favorable criminal record with no felonies
  • Be willing to work towards getting your Property, Casualty, Life and Health insurance licenses
