Energize your career at Exelon! PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION The Exelon Corporation is an investment grade Fortune 100 utility whose operating legacy spans more than 200 years. Exelon holds an equity investment in Annova LNG which is responsible for raising construction financing, securing natural gas supply and marketing long term offtake for up to 6.0 million ton per annum of liquefied natural gas to international customers on behalf of the Annova LNG export terminal project at the Port of Brownsville, Texas. The Sr. Originator/Head of Gas Supply for Annova LNG reports to the Chief Executive Officer and is responsible for establishing the asset and portfolio strategy for managing long term gas supply for the Annova LNG facility. The Sr. Originator will be responsible for all aspects of natural gas procurement for the Annova LNG facility ranging from origination of key assets to the hiring and management of third party commodity managers to manage natural gas portfolio risk. The person will also be responsible for establishing a process and organization to trade and optimize natural gas assets held by Annova LNG. PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES 1. Develop asset and portfolio strategy and business plan to manage long term natural gas supply for the Annova LNG facility 2. Originate and acquire/contracts for firm transportation, storage or other assets to ensure deliverability of natural gas to the Annova LNG facility 3. Lead bidding, selection and ongoing management of third party natural gas commodity management services for Annova LNG, including but not limited to Asset Management Agreements (AMAs) 4. Lead trading and optimizing around transportation and storage assets and agreements 5. Responsible for maintaining strong working relationships with pipelines, suppliers/producers, local distribution companies, and end use markets. Lead for in-house fundamental view of natural gas supply/demand and the associated price drivers Qualifications POSITION SPECIFICATIONS * Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Finance, Business or related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience. MBA preferred * 5+ years' experience of gas trading, marketing, or origination * Demonstrated knowledge of North American natural gas markets and market design * Knowledge of the South Texas and Gulf Coast regions including pipelines, storage facilities, producers, and end users * Experience building/growing a business or physical trading desk * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including written and verbal * Strong planning, organization, problem solving, and analytical skills * Transactional experience with natural gas pipelines, storage, transportation or other * Team player and ability to lead others * Demonstrates strong capabilities in: negotiating complex terms of structured wholesale transactions and acquisitions, financial analysis of structured wholesale transactions and acquisitions * Challenged within a results-oriented team environment * Strong computer skills, including knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Products * Ability for significant overnight travel for client meetings and conferences * Ability to develop, maintain and grow relationships (internal and external counterparties) * Ability to build consensus on strategy and action and then work independently and keep management informed while operating within authority parameters DISCLAIMER The preceding position description is intended to provide the general nature and level of work to be performed by employees within this classification.
