This position directs all electric meter technical services for Eversource operations in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire. This entails developing the strategy and implementing the tactical programs for all customer metering activities including testing, repairs and maintaining stocks of metering equipment and meter testing equipment. This position directs the development of all programs and processes for the installation, removal, field testing and maintenance of electric meters in accordance with regulatory standards and Company guidelines. Directs the development, implementation and maintenance of effective metering asset performance programs.Essential Functions:
Leads the development of Eversource s long-term meter strategy, including the development of business plans, performance standards and material planning for all meter services.
Directs development of programs and processes to ensure accuracy of electric meters and other related performance targets.
Directs development of processes for the installation, maintenance, testing, repair, calibration of all electric meter devices and meter equipment.
Develops new or improved application techniques, and, when necessary, recommends modifications to existing systems or equipment.
Establishes meter technical standards and procedures that enable end-user needs to be met in a safe, cost effective manner.
Directs and oversees establishment of processes that ensure the resolution of all customer issues and complaints pertaining to meter technical services.
Responsible for the safety of organization staff including minimizing of lost time injuries, responsible motor vehicles accidents and OSHA recordables and incidents.
His journey has taken him from the Dominican Republic to Eversource to UMass Lowell where he s currently working toward his MBA.
Partners with executives and leaders across Eversource relative to the installation and maintenance of electric meters.
Establishes a presence in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire to build team and business partner relationships.
In collaboration with other Directors and managers, ensures that emergency storm plans are in place to support the timely restoration of customer service.
Guides staff to identify and address process improvement opportunities.Technical Knowledge/Skill/Education/Licenses/Certifications: Technical Knowledge/Skill:
Requires strong technical background in metering as well as project management. Strong understanding of the Company meter installation, reading and billing process. Also requires knowledge of Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and National Electrical Code. Requires excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, management, negotiation and presentation skills, as well as business acumen. Ability to use PC desktop applications (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point). Frequent travel in service territory required.Education: Experience Licenses & Certifications: Working Conditions:
