This position is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the Company s LNG facilities in Connecticut and Massachusetts. This entails ensuring all facility operations and maintenance, as well as training and operator qualification are performed in accordance with 49 CFR 193, NFPA 59A, and all other relevant federal and state regulatory requirements. This position partners with Engineering, Construction, Gas Supply, Gas Control, and Instrumentation and Regulation (I&R) to ensure operations are properly coordinated and executed on time and meet all regulatory and safety requirements and engineering standards. Identifies areas for improving productivity; assigns work, coaches and manages the facility staff; and is responsible for establishing and monitoring the LNG Operations and Maintenance budget and operating goals, including selected oversight over the LNG Capital budget.

  • Provides direction and oversight to the Company s LNG facilities in Connecticut and Massachusetts ensuring their safe and reliable operations.
  • Ensures that all plant operations and maintenance are conducted in accordance with all applicable codes and standards with an emphasis on public and employee safety.
  • Works with Gas Supply regarding plant operation and inventory management requirements including, but not limited to, vaporization requirements, liquefaction operations and scheduling of truck deliveries.
  • Interacts and coordinates supply needs with Gas Control as it relates to LNG dispatching, LNG Operation and gas system impact.

  • Responsible for the management and oversight of the O&M and Prime Contracting agreements between the Company and Air Products Corporation in the operation, maintenance, and upgrade activities of the Hopkinton LNG Plant until 2020 when Hopkinton operations transitions within Eversource.

  • Responsible for representing the Company in regulatory, state, and municipal proceedings as it relates to siting or regulatory proceedings involving plant operations and upgrade activities.
  • His journey has taken him from the Dominican Republic to Eversource to UMass Lowell where he s currently working toward his MBA.

  • Establishes and maintains close working relationships with community public safety officials and conducts periodic drills with external stakeholders as required.
  • Develops and implements LNG facility staffing requirements as operational activities require.
  • Responsible for ensuring that LNG plant personnel are trained and operator qualified to perform LNG plant functions as required by federal and state codes.
  • Maintains a working relationship with the area bargaining unit leadership and effectively administers the agreement between the Company and the Union.
  • Develops, prepares, and manages operations and maintenance budgets for LNG facility operations, and selected capital projects.
  • Reviews and approves time and vehicle reports, purchase requisitions and invoices related to department activity. Schedules and monitors vehicle maintenance and repair.
  • Responsible for the monthly LNG inventory certification in compliance with Sarbanes Oxley (SOX).

    Work is performed primarily in an office environment but does require some time in the field to resolve complex problems and keeping up to date with facility operations. Requires travel between LNG facilities in MA and CT. This is a safety sensitive position and is subject to PHMSA drug screening.

    Work includes analyzing, planning, organizing, evaluating and documenting. This role works in an environment that often requires the performance of multiple simultaneous activities, where deadlines need to be met and work is performed under pressure while involving significant business commitments and results.

    Repetitive movement of hands and fingers through typing and writing. Reaching with hands and arms. Occasional standing, walking, stooping or bending.
