Eurofins Lancaster Laboratories, a nationally recognized laboratory, is searching for a LIMS TRAINING Specialist to support our Bio/Pharmaceutical Software Development group in Lancaster, PA. This role will require travel to our European Laboratories located in Italy, Spain, France, Germany, Denmark, and Ireland. You will work with laboratory leadership to train and implement a new LIMS solution in these European and US laboratories. Each implementation project will involve your on-site and remote lab participation as a LIMS training specialist. The role involves both pieces of training of software users and application of new business process changes as part of the new system.
LIMS Implementation Leader responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Manages LIMS implementation and provides training delivery at European and US sites related to the Laboratory information system (LIMS).
Develops end-user materials related to LIMS system including presentations and documentation.
Delivers training and implementation of all or part of the LIMS system based upon the specific Laboratory implementation plan
Supports the adoption of key practices as defined by the SOP and new LIMS system needs.
As manager of implementation, responsible to develop implementation plans, report progress and elevate any issues to leadership for assistance.
Develops new training and learning materials as needed to assist in site adoption
Manages user implementation reports, issues management, and resolution process.
At times, perform testing and other validation steps to confirm new features as part of site adoption process.
Interacts with local lab management and project leaders to present plans and report progress.
Work closely with business analysts to develop new stories related to high-value acceptance criteria and best practices
The ideal candidate would possess:
Background with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)
Work Experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry
Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
Knowledge of Software Validation requirements in the GxP regulated pharmaceutical industry
Education or experience related to training for software and software implementation
Basic understanding of project management principles
Good working knowledge of software development and computer system components
A working knowledge of LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) software
Understands GMP and GLP processes and how they relate to the LIMS use.
Willing to travel to implementation sites for extended periods of time (50-70% travel)
Second language such as French or Italian.
Basic Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or sciences or educational experience
At least two years' experience with software systems or process adoption
The position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., with overtime as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Lancaster, Pennsylvania are encouraged to apply.
