Enterprise is a national not-for-profit that brings together nationwide expertise, partners, policy leadership and capital to multiply the impact of affordable housing development. Our mission is to create opportunity for low- and moderate- income people through affordable housing in diverse, thriving communities. Today, Enterprise is a family of companies, with Enterprise Community Partners, Inc., a 501(c)(3) incorporated in the State of Maryland ("Partners"), as the parent of its wholly-owned subsidiary, Enterprise Community Investment ("Investment" and, together with each of Investment's subsidiaries and affiliates, is referred to as "Enterprise").
Over the last five years, Enterprise has experienced tremendous growth. Today, Enterprise has 850 employees, distributed across 15 offices, and is active in eleven regional markets across the United States. In addition to longstanding and deep expertise in each of the three catalysts for systemic change: capital and financing tools, solutionson the ground, and transformative public policy, this growth means that Enterprise is no longer just an intermediary. Through acquisitions and organic growth, today, Enterprise is also an owner and property manager of ~12,000 units of affordable housing in the mid-Atlantic; direct provider of resident services; advisor to an array of governmental entities; an innovator of solutions and programs across various areas adjacent to housing, such as health, the environment, jobs and disaster recovery; a fund manager of debt and equity funds; and more. Finally, Enterprise is the majority-owner of a commercial mortgage lender based in Cleveland, Ohio, with 350 employees (the "Mortgage Subsidiary").
The Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) will manage all human capital work across Enterprise and will be a member of the executive leadership team along with the CEO, CFO, General Counsel, CIO, CMO, and other business leaders across Enterprise. As such, we seek a candidate who can think globally, is a problem-solver, solutions-focused and collaborative. The candidate must also be a systems thinker, who can help senior management handle the array of issues that might arise. In addition, the CHRO will be responsible for assessing, managing and updating all human resource and employee policies, working closely with the executive leadership team, Internal Audit and other leaders across Enterprise.
Finally, in early 2020, Enterprise will embark on the planning for the next phase of their strategic plan. A key goal of the next strategic plan is to align Enterprise's operating model to further the execution of the "One Enterprise" business strategy. As such, the CHRO, with other members of the executive leadership team, will be a key participant in this process to identifying opportunities to best achieve our shared strategic priorities, align our talent, define roles and responsibilities, maximize our balance sheet and financial resources, collaborate across the entire Enterprise platform, leverage data to measure impact and improve business analysis, achieve process improvements, and increase the effectiveness of our delivery for stakeholders.
Leadership and Culture
Enterprise believes that energized people united by the same mission and values, working well together in an inclusive environment, where diversity is celebrated and respected, fueled by great leadership, will do incredible things together. We highly encourage women, LGBTQ people, and people of color, people with different abilities, people of maturity/age and other diverse groups to apply. It is important to us to foster this core value in our work, in our business strategies and in our decision making so that we are reflecting sensitivity and commitment to the communities that we serve.YourMembership.
