We invest in our employees and provide opportunities for them to make a difference while building a culture that reflects our core values of safety, excellence and respect.JOB SUMMARY:The Shipping and Receiving Associate is responsible preparing shipping documents, packing of customer parts per specifications, unpacking of shipment deliveries and maintaining records of incoming and outgoing shipments. This role is incredibly team oriented in a fast paced environment, with the incumbent needing a high level of interpersonal and communication skills. The person in this role also needs to have an incredibly high attention to detail while also being able to perform repetitive tasks at times. Due to the fluctuations in business in the fiscal months, flexibility to work on weekends and nights is needed to ensure business continuity. The Shipping and Receiving function is the last step in the customer chain, and is thus critical in Technetics' continued success.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
+ Packs and ships customer orders according to customer requirements; orders are physically packed correctly and transacted correctly in the ERP system
+ Generates appropriate Shipping and Receiving documents
+ Coordinates freight and shipping logistics as needed per customer
+ Interacts with various online customer and logistics portals (FedEx, UPS, DHL) as well as with multiple internal web based computer systems
+ Receives incoming materials from vendors, suppliers or other warehouses and transacts accurately in ERP system
+ Verify the quantity and type of each received item by matching it with work order
+ Maintains a clean and organized work space utilizing 5S principles
+ Rejects damaged items and contact vendors to inform them about the quantity of such items
+ Maintains effective communication within the Shipping and Receiving Team as well as cross functionally with other groups (Inside Sales, Finance, Operations), responding to inquiries about customer orders and providing status of delivery and/or availability
Assist in picking, packing and shipping orders out to customers or other warehousesADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Maintains a team environment through safety, excellence and respect
+ Assists Team Leader with process and equipment improvements
+ Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
+ High School Diploma or GED required
+ Formal training and/or certification in related manufacturing area highly preferred
+ Actual on-the-job experience in Shipping and Receiving or related manufacturing area highly preferred
+ Strong computer skills
+ Forklift certification preferred
+ Must demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills
+ Very strong phone, email, and face to face interpersonal and customer facing communication skills
+ Must be able to work extended and/or flexible as required by business needs
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
+ Be able to use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls
+ Be able to reach overhead
+ Be able to work foot control and fine work with hands and fingers for the entire shift.
+ Be able to work in various positions, including, but not limited to, stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling and squatting for extended periods of time
+ Be able to lift, pull and push materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks
+ Be able to lift and/or move 35 pounds of weight frequently throughout assigned workday
