We are looking for a Sales Engineer/Project Developer based on the East Coast (targeting Baltimore, Newark, Scranton) Job Summary:This position provides support and technical expertise to the business development team and data center clients of Enabled Energy.--This position will develop conceptual designs for projects that are in the development process and present these solutions to the client.--They are the link between the business development, engineering, and delivery teams.--Sales engineers use both their technical knowledge and strong communication skills to support the business development team.Responsibilities:GeneralIn this role, your responsibilities include:Support business development team with solution selling into prospect account base.Partner with business development executives to plan, prepare, and execute on strategic deals in complex sales cycles.Develop strong relationships with customers, business development and delivery teams as a trusted advisor to facilitate solution improvements.Model the financial business case associated with each sales opportunity.Successfully match customer requirements to proposed solutions.Proactively guide customers through their product options and prescribe solutions based on their needs.Create and deliver powerful presentations and demos that clearly communicate the uniqueness of the value proposition.Perform client and prospect demonstrations (both virtual and in-person).Manage all technical aspects of RFP / RFI responses.Effectively communicate client needs to the R&D teams for future product enhancements.Collect and document competitive intelligence.Identify any custom technical requirements and coordinate as necessary with delivery team.Translate deep technical information for a variety of audiences.Enabled Energy Application of this Role:As a Sales Engineer / Project Developer at Enabled Energy, your typical work duties will include, but not be limited to:Enabled Energy--Development--Process--Knowledge--- The position will need to have intimate knowledge of the--business development--and project development steps for their assigned projects.--This includes understanding key milestones, deliverables and necessary tasks for each process step.Energy--Savings &--Modeling--- The position will need to understand how to model energy baselines, how to calibrate energy models to existing utility bills, when--to adjust energy baselines for poor current equipment operation, and when to use individual energy savings calculations.--This position will need to understand basic energy savings calculation principles and formulas used to calculate savings.Solution--Development--- Most projects will have a list of required measures that need to be developed in the project development process.----However,--in the course of final scope definition, revisions, additions or deletions to scope may be required.--Therefore, this individual must be adept at understanding critical aspects of scope development and be able to properly and appropriately adjust, add or delete scope items as required.--Because Enabled Energy focuses in data centers, this role will need to develop a mastery of solutions for this market, especially computer room cooling systems, central plant topologies, control strategies, and key monitoring performance metrics.Design Principles--- Many decisions that need to be made--in the course of--developing a project will involve an understanding of mechanical, electrical and other design principles.--The Sales Engineer / Project Developer will need to understand these principles--in order to--properly direct engineers in final project scope development.Pricing--- The position must gain in-depth knowledge of--Enabled Energy's pricing system and use of the Project Development spreadsheets.--This includes scoping of specific measures and ensuring that all items are included and priced in the scope to establish a final price to submit to the client.Qualifications:Required Attitudes and AttributesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to make effective customer presentations.Flexibility to adapt to ebbs and flows of client development needs and other varying needs of a growing technical services company.Orderly thinking and ability to prioritize and produce on concurrent projects.Curious, self-starting, can-do problem solver.Strong leadership skills to own and lead all technical aspects of the business development process.Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.Technical Skills and ExperienceBasic HVAC, Electrical, and Control system--design skills including equipment sizing.Handy with field tools and willingness to measure critical energy information such as temperature, CFM, water flow, and power.Understanding of--data center facilities, cooling--system impacts and how--changes--will impact the--broader ecosystem.Preference will be given to applicants with 4-8 years of experience in a technical sale role.
