NorthernLight Eastern Maine Medical Center has a Trauma Surgeonopportunity. This position is part of a hospital employed Acute CareSurgery group of 7 surgeons that provide 24/7 trauma and emergency generalsurgery coverage. Schedule consists of 24 hour in-house callapproximately 5 days a month including weekend rotation. This group alsofunctions as intensivists for our surgical patients. About one fourth ofthe surgical practice is elective, based on patients referred from thecommunity and seen by us in the emergency room. Seven Physician Assistants whoare also in house 24/7 and assist us in the OR and ICU are members of thisgroup as well. Candidates must be BC/BE in General Surgery and SurgicalCritical Care.
