Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center seeks a second pediatric surgeon to join a hospital-employed practice with a strong, regional, referral base. This pediatric surgical service sees the full spectrum of index conditions and a wide range of acute pediatric surgery problems, while having significant potential for growth.
Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center is the regional center for tertiary pediatrics and pediatric surgical care. Supportive services include a Level III NICU, PICU, mature pediatric sedation service and pediatric hospitalist program. A broad spectrum of pediatric sub-specialties, including pediatric oncology, orthopedics, cardiology, critical care, gastroenterology, infectious disease, and neurology are available to provide consult support. In addition, our hospital offers dedicated neonatal and pediatric transport and we are a base hospital for LifeFlight of Maine, a critical care air transport service flying nearly 900 missions per year.
Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center is a 411-bed regional tertiary care center and an ACS-verified Level II trauma center with academic affiliations, serving a population of 500,000 living in the northern -thirds of the state of Maine.
