They get pumped at the idea of creating big idea concepts that can be executed across all marketing channels for our organization.Primary ResponsibilitiesWe're looking for someone to expand our prospect and partner portfolio by identifying strategic institutional (corporate and foundation) partners that DoSomething should build value-drive, fun, and meaningful relationships with. As the New Business Associate, your main priorities are to:* Partner Identification (25%). Identify, research, and qualify new prospects to add to our portfolio.* Partner Outreach (20%). Alongside the Senior Manager of New Business and the VP of Business Development, this role will support the building of outreach strategy, identifying means of communication (aka: sourcing emails), and drafting correspondence to introduce new prospects to DoSomething.* Deck and Asset Creation (20%). Ensure we have the necessary materials that are customized to each prospect's needs. This includes both designing presentation decks as well as drafting writing content.* Event Support (15%). Help the Biz Dev team and organization at-large plan for major events by organizing invitation lists, selling tickets and tables for our gala, and maintaining RSVPs.* Meeting Preparation + Support (10%). Assist in scheduling and agenda creation for new business meetings and workshops. Help prepare for meetings and take notes, and ensure we capture all feedback and next steps.* General Support (10%). We're an extremely collaborative team within a very cross-functional office. We'll expect you to join brainstorms, help teammates work through writer's block, and generally offer to help out where your colleagues need support (and we'll do the same for you!). Additionally, you'll own coordinating and sending gifts to our partners throughout the year as well as for our holiday mailing.Qualifications.* You have 1-3 years of relevant experience identifying new partnerships of $100,000+ and supporting the development of an outreach strategy* You are experienced and comfortable using G Suite. We are 'Google Docs' people and expect this teammate to know their way around all G Suite apps and maybe even teach us old pros a thing or two!* You are an extremely effective communicator and are skilled at meeting people where they are. You've used twitter to make an IRL connection, you understand professional texting, and you never miss a date. You will be reaching out before events, following up on each interaction, and keeping in touch with prospects long-term.* You have the maturity to build authentic relationships partners while still reflecting the value of DoSomething.org.* You are a compelling public representative and a dynamic public speaker, capable of delivering dynamic talks and presentations.* You are not afraid to pick up the phone.
