Job DescriptionThe Walt Disney Company's Direct-to-Consumer and International segment (DTCI) is a global, multiplatform media, technology and distribution organization for high-quality content created by Disney's Studio Entertainment and Media Networks groups.DTCI includes Disney's international media operations and the Company's direct-to-consumer businesses globally, including Disney+, the upcoming branded direct-to-consumer streaming service, Hulu, and the ESPN+ sports streaming service, programmed in partnership with ESPN. Disney Streaming Services, developer of the ESPN+ and Disney+, oversees all consumer-facing digital technology and products across the Company as part of the Direct-to-Consumer and International segment.The DTCI business is seeking a Communications Coordinator for its advertising sales Communications team.Are you looking for a role that will expose you to multiple functions and leaders within corporate communications? The type of job where no two days are the same and no task is too big or too small?The DTCI Communications Coordinator will assist with overall department duties including pulling press clips at the beginning/ending of the business day, disseminating press breaks, invoicing, handling phone calls, completing expense reports, scheduling meetings and maintaining calendars, gathering/entering new vendor information, tracking vendor invoices and payments, updating press lists, general office duties, and creating department presentations and pitch lists, as well as providing support to the executives and their team, within DTCI Corporate Communications.As needed, the ideal candidate will also be available to work nights and weekends at our various publicity events. The candidate will help with meeting agendas, document distribution, mailings, scheduling and have a key role on the day of the event. In addition, this individual will provide assistance to key Executives when they are in New York.This position is based in New York and will report to the director of communications for Disney Advertising Sales, and work closely with the larger DTCI Communications team.The Disney Advertising Sales team leads monetization efforts for the Company's entertainment, news, sports and kids linear and digital TV and Radio businesses (ABC Entertainment, ABC Daytime and ABC News; Disney Channel, Disney XD, Disney Junior, Radio Disney; Freeform, FX Networks, National Geographic Networks) and the ESPN portfolio which includes ESPN's domestic networks, ESPN on ABC, ESPN.com, ESPN3, ESPN The Magazine, ESPN Radio, ESPN International, ESPN+ and ESPN Mobile; and National TV Ad Sales for ABC's eight owned local TV stations.
