    Responsibilities

    As a QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST (COMPUTER SOFTWARE) NH-1910-03 level some of your typical work assignments may include:

    Assess, evaluates, monitors, and manages resources to ensure acceptable hardware and software quality and mission assurance (QMA) standards and concepts are instilled within the C2BMC workforce, programs, and developmental facilities Supports the development of the tools, techniques, and practices to advance QMA capabilities and awareness within the C2BMC program office and among the contractor staff. Implements program-wide quality directives, policies, standards, processes, procedures and best practices. Performs QMA technical assessments based on software and hardware criticality reviews. Investigates software and hardware failures. Reviews and verifies failure analysis and anomaly resolution. Participates in technical issues and independent software code reviews for incremental and iterative development efforts to assess compliance with industry-wide and MDA quality assurance standards and best practices. Evaluates implementation of Agile/DevOps principles and practices by interacting with product owners and team members. Helps teams integrate quality assurance in the prioritization and construction of story boards and management of product backlogs. Develops briefings and alternative courses of action and prepares detailed technical summaries, analyses, and reports outlining critical quality assurance issues and metrics which may affect the mission, goals, and sustainment of the C2BMC system. Serves as a technical advisor on issues affecting program quality, mission assurance, and integration and insures that functions and operations are performed uniformly, economically, and in accordance with MDA policies and procedures. Categorizes software and hardware criticality and verification methodology, and investigates design failures. Conducts and verifies failure analysis and anomaly resolution.

    Qualifications

    You may qualify at the NH-03 level , if you fulfill the following qualifications:

    A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-02/GS-11 grade level in the Federal service as listed below: Advanced knowledge of and experience with agile software development processes, methods, and techniques, with corresponding ability to research, analyze, and assess quality assurance based on industry recognized best practices. In addition to meeting the specific specialized experience noted above, your application package must reflect the applicable specialized experience required to meet the Individual Occupational Requirements for the 1910 series: This is experience that demonstrated a practical knowledge in monitoring, controlling, or maintaining the quality of products or services in quality assurance, procurement, inspection, production, or related areas Reviewing production activities and capabilities in light of contract quality requirements. Reviewing written quality or inspection procedures for adequacy, and evaluating the implementation and effectiveness of quality/inspection systems, including sampling plans. Analyzing quality data to detect unsatisfactory trends or weaknesses in the quality/inspection system. Verifying by test or inspection, using sampling inspection or intensive product inspection techniques, that products comply with requirements prior to acceptance. Identifying inadequacies and requesting corrective action. Computing data, summarizing results, and preparing reports or charts depicting pertinent relationships using statistical methods. Investigating customer complaints and deficiency reports, and providing identification of causes to appropriate authorities. Reading, interpreting, and applying technical data such as blueprints, engineering drawings, product specifications, or technical manuals. Reviewing and evaluating supply systems operations and procedures through periodic audits and surveillance inspections. Experience that demonstrated a practical knowledge in monitoring, controlling, or maintaining the quality of products or services in quality assurance, procurement, inspection, production, or related areas.

    - Advanced communication (oral and written) skills, ability to research, plan, coordinate, and brief actions in support of leadership's goals, objectives, and mission.
