Telecommunication Voice, Data & Video Engineer Engineer, Network Operations will provide 24x7 network management, analysis and triage for the Telecommunication FTTP Voice, Data & Video network. The position in question is slated for either nights (11pm-7am) or Evenings (3pm-11pm). Candidate MUST be able to work any shift based on the needs of the business. No exceptions.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Perform surveillance and maintenance of the Telecommunication Voice, Data & Video network
Trouble ticket management, flash management & processing escalations
Identifying initial fault isolation including triage and technical support to CO and outside plant technicians
Participates in staffing a 24 hour FTTP Network Management Center to ensure Telecommunication's customer satisfaction, network quality, and cost goals are met
Resolves network problems and outages and takes actions to improve network performance
Interact with National Operations, Network Operations and National Services to restore customer impacting conditions

The candidate must be able to work any of the three shifts and rotate based on needs of the business. Weekends, holidays, and overnight work may be required. The candidate will demonstrate knowledge of RF transmission, TDM and VOIP voice technologies, data related technologies including VOIP, broadband networking, gigabit networking, Video and VOD technologies. Knowledge of basic routing protocols and internal system tools (Ticketing, Equipment Inventory, Alarming, Flash, & Change Management) is highly desired.

A degree or three or more years of relevant work experience
Strong interpersonal, writing and problem solving skills
Work with external and internal Telecommunication organizations coordinating troubleshooting network events
Experience working in a 24x7 Network Operations Center including working in a shift work environment. Must be able to work any of the three shifts without issue.
Ability to provide timely and accurate network information to both management and other organizations during network events and major, critical and catastrophic outages
Ability to work under stressful, fast paced conditions while multitasking
Work well within a teamwork environment but also independently as needed
NOC or call center experience
PC Skills, MS Office, Google Suite
Customer service oriented DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Proven job performance in current and previous positions
Familiarity with optical networks and troubleshooting (Juniper MX960, OSP, ISP, RF technology, LAN/WAN)
FTTP and/or Optical Line Terminal knowledge (Nokia GPON, Arris BPON/GPON, Tellabs BPON)
Network certifications (JNCIA, CCNA, CCNP)
Familiarity with optical networks and troubleshooting
