The IS Project Manager is responsible for the successful selection, testing, documentation, and deployment of new software, existing software upgrades, and enhancements. The Project Manager may also lead standardization, workflow re-design, leading Implementation of new Service Lines, New Clinics, and business process change efforts. This includes initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and closing the project. This position is responsible for good return on investment by ensuring the system functionality is deployed on time and on budget. Projects range from small enhancements to interdepartmental, cross site automation and standardization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Manages assigned complex enterprise projects, developing comprehensive project plans to include; project scope, task lists, resource allocation, time and cost estimates, testing, documentation, training, change management and detailed go-live plans
Monitors project(s) for change of scope, potential delays, and cost overruns, escalating as appropriate.
Recommends corrective measures and project plan revisions, as appropriate.
Discusses project resolution methodologies with appropriate ITS and business unit staff.
Review all customer scope change requests for appropriateness and completeness.
Work with ITS and business unit staff to evaluate and prioritize scope changes for inclusion/exclusion.
Serve as liaison between stakeholders and vendors, facilitate changes in hospital policy or procedures if necessary.
Serve as the day-to-day contact for stakeholders informing them of the status of their project in a timely manner.
Hold and chair all project meetings, utilizing agendas and distribute meeting minute.
Monitor software build process and keep the appropriate ITS Director informed on a regular basis of all events, updating priorities and discuss problem resolution methodologies.
Work with other ITS and business unit staff to assure that a consistent approach is followed throughout the project.
Ensure project adheres to project timeline.
Participate in professional committees, as requested and appropriate, as subject matter experts for documentation of business processes.
Analyze business need and offer/provide technical solutions that include some report writing, non-custom package modifications, vendor input, and process changes per policy.
Use corporate project management system to track project progress.

Bachelors degree or equivalent
7-10 years of proven successful project management experience, PMP certification and experience in a progressive health care environment, preferred
Ability to multi-tasks and able to work with minimal supervision.
Wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
Proven analytical ability.
Ability to communicate goals, plans, and deadlines to a wide audience.
