A hospitalist opportunity is now open at this 25 bed critical access hospital. You will join four other hospitalists to work a flexible schedule and average six to eight shifts per month. You will round on patients during the shift and then be on call for a 24-hour shift. There will be a very reasonable patient census and call during shift is minimal, if at all. You can work up to 7 shifts in a row or short blocks of 3 to 4 during the month. The administration and hospitalists meet monthly to go over the schedule. There is also back-up support, if needed. Some procedures will be required since this is a critical access hospital. The procedures include ventilator management, CCU, and maybe pick lines. H-1B visa sponsorship is available for 2019 residents.
This is a hospital-employed position with compensation paid per shift and full hospital benefits package. The hospital has some housing available to stay during the shifts. They offer a competitive shift rate, higher rate for holidays or extra shifts over eight, and full benefits package.
