Job Summary
A leadership role focused on designing and developing events that will create an enhanced workplace experience. Community Engagement Director will create experience concepts for other Hospitality Professionals for final execution. An ideal candidate for this position will be someone who understand global workplace trends, and engineer events focused on community development within the organizations. A creative approach on how people collaborate, learn and get inspired at work will be a key focus for this position.
* Develop concepts and collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop concepts then build successful events and happenings for the Verizon Community
* Detail events or happenings and communicate with Community managers to insure flawless execution on the vision
* Develop plans for the workplace to meet organizational goals and objectives through workplace experience
* Spearheads special initiatives within the department to include speaker coordination, registration services, transportation, and production support.
* Analyze ROE (Return on Experience) of events, and look to repeat to successful endeavors
* Successful oversee multiple simultaneous, complex, fast moving events
* An entrepreneurial spirit, including the ability to work independently and autonomously
* Create daily, weekly, monthly calendars for ongoing happenings
* Implementing communications plans to increase awareness and recognition for Verizon Community
QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelor's degree required
* Minimum of five years of managerial experience, in a conference center & hotel environment
* Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and juggle many tasks simultaneously
* Superior quantitative, oral and written communications and problem-solving/strategizing skills
* Excellent overall computer skills with advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
* Proactive mindset to anticipate and support changes in our business
* Conformity to the highest standards of personal integrity and ethical behavior
* Exceptional customer service abilities
