Company OverviewNew York State's Leader in Geotechnical Engineering, Construction Material Testing, and Special Inspections. Job SummaryPerform Testing and Inspection of concrete and asphalt at Material & Producer Plants in accordance with established testing methods and standards.Responsibilities and DutiesContact CME Field Services Supervisor daily to receive schedule for the following day.Have appropriate equipment, tools and expendables to complete each assignment.Test and inspect construction materials such as concrete and asphalt for quality control/quality assurance in material plants.Read construction documents and specifications and correctly interpret test results.Record and report test results in a clear, concise manner.Complete each testing assignment accurately and in accordance with the appropriate standards.Turn in field data records and completed reports for each project daily.Communicate regularly with direct supervisor to provide updates on project details.Learn and listen to DOT Field Supervisors/DOT Project Manager for continuing education and preparation for additional certifications.Qualifications and SkillsHigh School Diploma required.Associates Degree or bachelor??s Degree in Civil Engineering Technology Studies or related is desired.Desirable Certifications for this position: ACI Grade 1 Concrete, NYCMA QC/QA Certification.Possess ability to maintain effective working relationships with managers, co-workers and clients through clear communication and proactive progress reporting.Familiarity with construction materials, procedures and documents a plus.Must possess and maintain a valid NYS Driver??s License that meets or exceeds CME??s driving requirements.Must possess reliable transportation and current/required automotive insurance coverage.Benefits and PerksCME offers competitive wages and benefits such as: Health, Dental, Vision, 401K, Health Savings Account, Supplemental Insurance Products, and Paid Time Off (including Holiday, Vacation, Sick and Personal) for full time employees.
