The Pain Clinic RN Responsibilities: Functions as a Registered Nurse by role - modeling professional behavior. Responsible for clinical management of the patient. Assures satisfaction of customers (patients, visitors, physicians and staff). Participates and understands Quality Management activities. Demonstrates knowledge of medications and responsible for patient education. Demonstrates effective communication skills. Demonstrates understanding of hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Promotes cost effective unit operations. Documents nursing care utilizing the appropriate tools. Maintains competencies in clinical areas and responsible for professional growth. Complies with professional, regulatory, governmental and departmental standards. Able to complete nursing assessment on all patients. Provide patient education pre- and post- procedure. Perform all documentation in accordance with TJC criteria and nursing standards. Maintain appropriate levels of supplies and assist in annual inventory. Complete and maintain education requirements. Preferred: Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing is desired. LICENSURE: Required: Licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Virginia as a registered nurse.
