In support to the Cyber Security Fusion Center (CSFC) mission, candidate will be responsible for researching, developing and deploying various technologies and analysis products. As such, desired staff members are responsible for developing various solutions and automation capabilities to support the timeliness and efficiency of visualizing the CSFC data that is gathered from a variety of heterogeneous sources. In support of the data analytics groups the following are the main responsibilities for the data analyst. The support of CSFC Applications, Understanding of Big Data and Statistical Modeling technologies, methodologies and techniques.
* Ability to program in many languages including but not limited to Perl, Python, C, Java and other languages * Knowledge of Archer - proficient with administration and development support * Analyzing new data sources and create/modify data Bases to onboard data to SQL and no SQL Databases * Design, build, and maintain centralized storage repositories for archiving, querying and data mining of fusion center data of interest * Proficiency in designing, testing, and maintaining multiple databases with feeding work streams. * Design prototypes and deploy machine learning algorithms, data mining insights, data visualizations, and statistical models for key strategic initiatives using CSFC multi-dimensional data sets. * Ability to communicate technical issues to technical and non-technical business representatives. * Understanding correlation, multivariate regression and all aspects of massaging data together to look at it from different angles for use in predictive and prescriptive modeling * Determines database structural requirements by analyzing client operations, applications, and programming; reviewing objectives with clients; evaluating current systems; * Installs database systems by developing flowcharts; applying optimum access techniques; coordinating installation actions; documents actions. * Provides database support by coding utilities, responding to user questions, and resolving problems. * Ability to use or learn how to program in SAS, Alpine or other tools to piece together propositions and discover potential patterns and correlations through basic or advanced statistics
* Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience * 6+ years of relevant experience * Should have a working knowledge of Information Security and / or Cybersecurity technologies. * Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication * Proven influencing and relationship management skills * Proven analytical skills * ------------------------------------------------
