Job Description

The Regional Sales Director (RSD)-Northeast is responsible for the sale of the organization's products in the specified region or major geographical area and provides ongoing support to product distribution channel. The RSD-NE is responsible for owning the strategy for the region and the associated revenue and quota assigned. Reporting to the Vice President of Sales, the RSD-NE also works closely with internal teammates across functional lanes, other RSDs, and external stakeholders to ensure the appropriate objectives and priorities are enabled and the sales organization supported. This person can work remotely, with ability to travel to engage prospects and customers within the territory and other sales related events.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Establish and successfully execute a sales strategy for the region, for both channel and direct sales.
  • Coordinate with teammates in the Channel functional lane to establish relationships with key strategic partners.
  • Assists partners (distributors and resellers) with organizational skills, account strategies, territory planning and administrative responsibilities to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction is maintained.
  • Coordinate with teammates in the Inside Sales functional lane to establish relationships with prospects and mature relationships with renewing customers.
  • Execute deal management from lead generation, quoting/discounting, and closing opportunities.
  • Open new verticals based on existing success and winning key accounts in vertical markets.
  • Gain a full, hands on understanding of the organization s capability portfolio to facilitate successful demo and sales engagements.
  • Assist with the planning of sales exhibits and attends trade shows as needed.
  • Participate in education and training conferences on selling and marketing programs.
  • Coordinate and assists in leading sales meetings to include site selection and agenda preparation.
  • Keep informed of new products, services and other general information of interest to customers.
  • Proactively log up-to-date and accurate information in the organization s CRM tool (SalesForce) to ensure high levels of quality in the sales organization s reporting and planning efforts.
  • Maintain awareness on competitive activity and develops new methods of attaining and retaining sales opportunities.
  • Troubleshoot problems and handle complaints/challenges.
  • Organize and report sales forecasting, planning, and execution status at weekly and quarterly reviews.
  • Requirements:

  • Four (4) years sales experience in a business-to-business sales environment.
  • Experience with SalesForce as a CRM system tracking all aspects of the sales cycle.
  • Microsoft Office Suite and PC proficiency.
  • Desired Traits:

  • Cybersecurity industry experience preferred.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, from both a learning and mentoring perspective, with a positive attitude and ability overcome challenges with innovative approaches.
