  • What You'll Do

    The Product Analyst will research target market segments based on demographics, location, and interest and work with product managers to ensure products offer something for each of those customer segments. By analyzing market data, these professionals work to develop marketing strategies for the product.

    When companies launch new features, they need a solid understanding of the projected costs of the project. This includes everything from research costs, to development costs, and marketing costs. Product analysts create mathematical representations of these risk factors, helping the company understand how and when to introduce a product into the marketplace.

    As they track products, product analysts work with a variety of marketing professionals, including:

  • Product Owners/Managers
  • Product Marketing Managers
  • Product Development Managers
  • What You Should Have

  • Bachelor s Degree
  • Ability to conduct market research
  • Ability to translate complex market research data into manageable and useful development suggestions
  • Critical thinking skills to recommend original and productive ideas
  • Interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with various stakeholders
  • Strong in skills like writing, problem solving, presenting, speaking, communication
  • Strategic, analytical and critical thinking expertise; ability to break down complex problems and formulate plans
  • Nice to Have

  • Competency in product owner tools and basic office programs (Version One, Rally, Jira, MS Project, Share Point, MS Office)
  • ITIL certification
  • ITSM
  • Self-motivated find a way to get it done attitude
  • Ability to successfully work under tight project deadlines
  • Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams in a matrix organization
