CDM Smith is one of the world's top design, program management (PM) and construction management (CM) firms, providing innovative and creative solutions for our clients and assisting them in achieving successful outcomes on their most important programs. We currently provide PM/CM services around the world with over 300 working full-time professionals who use world-class program controls, processes, and tools.



This is a field assignment. The Intermediate Construction Representative will be working on a wastewater treatment expansion project in the Chino, CA area.



As a member of this team, you would contribute to CDM Smith's mission by:

- Inspecting construction work to ensure compliance with design documents.

- Interpreting construction work to ensure compliance with contract drawings and specifications.

- Preparing related reports (such as Daily Inspection Reports, assist with Monthly Progress Report) and maintaining required reports of daily construction activities.

- Preparing job-related correspondence and conducting contract/client meetings.

- Informing senior resident engineer of specific problems and completion schedules.

- Recommending solutions to specific construction problems.

- Reviewing and approving (if necessary) monthly contractor pay estimate.

- Reviewing change orders. The objective of this position is to plan and organize the activities of a medium-sized team, apply accepted standardization of materials and supplies and construction technology, and demonstrate knowledge of all field disciplines.

**Minimum Qualifications:**



- Associates or Bachelors degree in engineering or construction preferred.

- Basic knowledge of construction techniques, standards and applications required.

- 8-10 years of related experience.

- Must have strong client skills and a good understanding of other technical interface activities.



**Preferred Qualifications:**



- Certified Public Infrastructure Inspector issued by the American Public Works Association (APWA).

- Certification in Water/Wastewater Plants issued by National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET)

- Certification in Water and Sewer Lines issued by National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET)

- Prior experience with water and wastewater process facilities.
