Capital One is looking for a creative, curious and results-driven communications professional to join a growing group of PR experts on our Corporate Communications team.

Do you have a passion for relationship building, influential storytelling and helping businesses succeed? We are looking for an experienced, strategic and results-focused communicator to join our Consumer Card PR team, with a focus on supporting the Partnerships (co-brand and private-label credit card).
This role will partner with business leaders, marketing and brand partners, and agencies to build and lead strategic, integrated marketing communications campaigns that highlight our products and services to the target audience.?
This position requires exceptional written, verbal and presentation skills; solid understanding of and experience working with traditional and social media; experience with influencer identification and management; experience leading projects and teams to meet objectives; and the ability to build trusted relationships - with both internal and external stakeholders - while operating in a fast-paced, complex environment.
Exhibit a deep understanding of and ability to communicate the benefits, features and key insights related to the partnership and related products
Work closely and engage with key stakeholders - both within Capital One and with partners - to build trusted relationships?
Identify themes, topics and content that will resonate with target audiences and meet strategic business objectives
Leverage data and insights to inform narratives and influence programming
Contribute to the overall marketing strategy for each business
Understand, identify and effectively navigate potential risks and sensitivities
Independently Lead full-funnel communications strategies, including paid, earned, shared and owned media
Build and enhance mutually beneficial relationships among target media and influencers
Identify news hooks and agile PR opportunities that support business objectives
Coordinate outreach, leveraging key contacts and managing relationships to ensure media coverage across a range of media verticals
Draft and lead the development of effective communications materials to include strategic plans, press releases, media alerts, remarks, social media content and other communications documents for various audiences?
Oversee flawless media engagement through comprehensive spokesperson prep, on the ground support, and follow-up
Identify and establish relationships with third-party influencers that can contribute to and amplify our content
Build powerful, dynamic, influencer content that can be adapted and shared across a variety of internal and external channels?
Partner and collaborate with Corporate Communications team members to ensure well-managed (consistent, streamlined, value-drive and strategic wherever possible and appropriate) media and influencer engagement?
Effectively manage agency(s) and vendors to support programming and media engagement
Assess risks, issues and potential communications problems and provide proactive solutions?
Embrace research, measurement and analytical thinking as a means to drive Impact?
Ensure all work is executed through a lens of strategic impact and measurement, leveraging the latest tools and technology to showcase how communications is driving business outcomes, brand awareness and engagement
Support Capital One enterprise communications
Connect the dots across Card PR and the broader Corporate Communications team to drive efficiencies and create value for our business partners
Identify ways to enhance Capital One?s reputation through the Partnership work, ensuring all efforts reflect and bolster the enterprise narrative?
The Successful Candidate Will Demonstrate:
Experience managing communication channels and employee engagement to reach organizational goals, managing external agencies and fostering feedback loops between leaders and associates
Self-starter who enjoys working in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment
Strong understanding of and proven track record supporting brand PR efforts across the paid/earned/shared/owned spectrum;
Strong written/verbal communications skills;
Exemplary organizational skills, analytical talent and attention to detail;
Proven ability to work effectively with multiple constituents, including peers, executive and management, and partners;
Ability to think creatively to integrate problem-solving and structured thinking;
Strong presentation skills;
Passion to work as part of a highly collaborative culture, and stay calm under intense pressure to manage rapidly changing priorities
At least 7 years of public relations experience, including consumer media and influencer relations
Deep understanding and expertise in building and executing integrated marketing campaigns to achieve measurable results based on business objectives
Experience working, partnering with and influencing multiple constituents and stakeholders (internal and external), including senior executives?
Combination of agency and in-house experience
