Collaborates with the directors and managers for each area of responsibility along the site leadership teams in ensuring environmentally clean, safe and secure physical facilities whether owned or leased. A commitment to patient safety & security, customer satisfaction, efficient /effective use of resources, teamwork, innovation, and performance improvement is required. Responsibility includes the oversight of personnel in all assigned areas along with responsibility for the associated budgets, contractors and consultants. Qualifications: Bachelor Degree in Engineering, or related field. Five years in facility and maintenance operations and/or design, construction and with a focus working in healthcare organizations and/or hospital facilities, experience in having managed and/or working with a diverse work force that is covered under the provisions of a collective bargaining agreement along with substantial experience managing contract service providers and consultants. Hold Certified Facility Manager Credential as issued by the American Society of Healthcare Engineers. Familiarity with OSHA, Joint Commission, NFPA, Life Safety Codes, Massachusetts State Building Code requirements, Department of Public Health guidelines for construction and other regulatory requirements. Certified Healthcare Facility Manager preferred. Minimum of 5 years experience in working in Hospital facilities management, maintenance or construction management/design with at least ten years of experience in a healthcare setting. Financial and budgeting skills required. Experienced in being able to implement and manage within an environment that requires continuous quality improvement.
