Responsibilities: (are delegated at the school level and may include) Collaborate and coordinate with classroom teachers regarding differentiated lesson plans Assist in the collection of instructional material for enrichment and acceleration of TAG learners Communicate regularly with classroom teachers about student progress Organize and administer TAG identification assessments Assist in preparation of TAG Advanced Learning Plans Assist in providing appropriate programming for gifted learners Maintain individual TAG student records Coordinate enrichment activities as appropriate Prepare district-required reports regarding TAG programming and budget Promote understanding and respect for gifted education and gifted learners Serve as an advocate for students as appropriate Participate in staff meetings or professional development activities as appropriate Participate in conferences between parents, administrators, teachers, counselors and students as appropriate Participate in district TAG Tutor/Educational Advisor meetings Help organize and coordinate after school enrichment activities for school-wide participation Participate in professional development opportunities to increase understanding of gifted learners and gifted education Qualifications: Required: High School diploma or equivalent, plus a minimum of two years college Communicate (read, write, and speak) in English, must pass English component of interview process Completed and submitted BVSD online application Preferred: Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children Background in education/gifted education Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, school staff, and administrators Ability to plan, organize and see a project through to completion Salary Information: Salary Placement varies according to experience and education.
