Description This position works 10 hours per week. Schedule may be somewhat flexible. Rate of pay: $25.75/hour The Boulder Regional Emergency Telephone Service Authority (BRETSA) brings together Public Safety Answering Points (PSAP) in the greater Boulder County region: City of Longmont Communications, City of Boulder Communications, Boulder County Communications, and University of Colorado Police Department. They have been operating on a regional communications system since the 1980s--long before it became common in public safety. The hourly Administrative tech performs a variety of duties related to this organization. Notwithstanding the provisions of Colorado Constitutional Amendment 20, Medical Marijuana, and Amendment 64 legalizing the limited use of marijuana, the use or non-duty related possession of marijuana by a Sheriff's Office employee is a violation of federal law, and is prohibited. Examples of Duties Sorts Incoming and outgoing BRETSA mail. Sort invoices to be paid and ensures their payment. Prepares for meetings. Attend all BRETSA Board Meetings and record minutes. Board meetings are typically on Monday mornings, every other month, but may vary. Purchase supplies as needed. Inventory BRETSA assets as required. Assist in annual audit procedures. Publish meeting dates and times in local newspapers. Performs related work as required. Required Qualifications Education: High School diploma or equivalent. Experience: Three years office experience. Supplemental Information KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES: Requires a thorough knowledge of departmental operations, administrative procedures, and a considerable degree of independent judgment. Thorough knowledge of modern office practices and procedures, and departmental policies and regulations. Considerable skill in operating office equipment. Ability to use a personal computer for word processing, organizing information and transcribing notes to meet the demands of the position. Ability to communicate and work effectively with other employees, boards, committees, and the public.SDL2017
