The Specialty Asset Manager II manages and maintains, under limited direction, an advanced & complex portfolio within a given segment of non-financial assets, i.e., life insurance, minerals, notes and mortgages, real estate, and closely-held businesses. Works independently or partners with Account Officers, Portfolio Managers, and external professionals to provide comprehensive solutions to complex customer needs throughout the United States. This position may manage accounts and properties for any of BOKF?s bank and trust affiliates.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Serves as a subject matter expert on assigned assets during ongoing administration of estates, trusts and agency accounts. Resolves account issues to assure quality service is provided to clients; provides clients with information and assistance regarding ongoing asset management activities and strategies. Retains client relationships. Provides Administrative Account Officers regular account updates including changes in client revenue, and any relevant activities that affect the servicing of the account.
  2. Responsible for accurate and compliant oversight and completion of client and account activities related to assigned assets. This is accomplished by analyzing and reviewing all assigned assets annually to ensure compliance and adherence to a) bank?s policies and procedures, b) Office of Comptroller of Currency (O.C.C.) requirements, c) the account?s investment objective, and d) the directions provided within the governing document. Assists in the development and solicitation of opportunities for the Department.
  3. Coordinate asset investment and management issues and activities with clients and respective internal and external professionals. Provide expertise in the buy, sell, retain decision, for each assigned asset, as well as, analyze, inspect, value, determine the highest and best use, maximize investment performance and manage risk associated with investment and management activities of assigned assets. Oversees the day to day activities of a Relationship associate to accomplish these duties.
  4. Responsible for providing expertise in evaluating new business relationships with respect to specialty assets by performing pre-acceptance due diligence and making recommendations on acceptance. Also responsible for post-acceptance review, identifying exceptions and clearing said exceptions as appropriate. Oversees the day to day activities of a Relationship associate to accomplish these duties.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:
  • Advanced knowledge of contracts, leases, and title documents
  • Advanced knowledge of asset management functions pertaining to a specific segment of specialty assets, i.e., petroleum land management functions, real estate management functions, operating a closely-held business, servicing notes and mortgages
  • Advanced knowledge of fiduciary practices and responsibilities
  • Advanced knowledge of laws that apply to a specific segment of specialty assets, i.e., oil and gas law, real estate law, consumer lending, life insurance regulations, or business law
  • Proficient PC skills including word processing and spreadsheet applications
  • Advanced communication skills and ability to prepare and deliver persuasive oral and written reports and presentations
This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor?s Degree and 6 - 8 years related experience or 10 ?11 years equivalent work experience.
