Qualifications: Facilities Interior Design Planner What You'll Do Provide planning and interior design services to support the Ball Aerospace Westminster, Lafayette, Broomfield and Boulder campuses. Translate the client's goals, functional needs, space requirements and budget into an innovative design solution that minimizes common space while utilizing existing and/or new modular systems and/or free standing furniture. Provide cost-effective space planning solutions by utilizing existing company furniture standards. Provide design support for day to day move/add/changes. Support to include, providing layouts utilizing AutoCAD 2014 for modular system and freestanding furniture, from initial programming to final installation documents, perform field measurements, specify furniture requirements per the final furniture layout, perform specification double checks, and inventory control of existing furniture as requested. Provide freestanding and modular furniture design support to team members as requested to support ongoing projects. Support to include but not limited to initial programming, as-built of area, furniture layout and specification, budget, procurement and installation coordination. Maintain current knowledge of furniture manufactures and ergonomic trends as related to furniture and cabling requirements. Manage and allocate available inventory and creates project specification lists. Obtain quotes from vendors and procurement coordination. Review, validate, approve and process invoices for payment. Coordinate and supervise installation with installation contractor, internal IT Group, and electrician. Maintain web-based furniture standards. Provide furniture design, specifications and budget for existing and new buildings as requested. Prepare AutoCAD drawings for project specific tasks and share with internal/external service providers. Update furniture symbol libraries, maintain CAD proficiency. Provide updated furniture AutoCAD drawings to the Data Base Administrator. Provide architectural \"as-built\" drawings in AutoCAD as requested. Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule. Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the SBU/SSU and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment. Performs other duties as necessary. What You'll Need BS/BA in a related field plus 4 or more years related experience. Each higher-level related degree, i.e., Master's Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of related experience. Two years of related experience may be substituted for each year of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education. Experience in Steelcase 9000 and Answer to include layouts and installation coordination is strongly desired. 4 years' experience in AutoCAD 2014 is preferred. Experience in Archibus is desired. Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to effectively manage a high volume of modular furniture design requests and effectively work in a fast paced, high volume environment is required. A strong history of providing excellent detailed customer service to multiple customers at all levels is required. Proven ability to deliver creative and effective workplace solutions. Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with staff on all levels of the organization and be a team player. Proficiency with basis office equipment and software including, MS Office, Excel, Word Outlook, PC, cell phone, plotters and other office equipment. Proven history of regular attendance and schedule flexibility is required for this position. Valid Colorado driver's license. Working Conditions Work is performed in an office environment. Travel and local commute between Ball campuses and other possible non-Ball locations may be required.
