Position Summary

The Payroll Analyst is part of the core payroll team processing multi-state payrolls for each component organization of the company. The Payroll Analyst works collaboratively with the core payroll team and management to provide accurate and efficient processing of pay processing groups ensuring the company meets its goals, is complaint and maintains an efficient payroll function. This position is a liaison between the Payroll/Human Resources department and the Finance department.

This position is located at our corporate office in Philadelphia, PA.

Duties & Responsibilities

* Responsible for timely and accurate processing, balancing, auditing and completion for all assigned pay processing groups (pay groups).
* Responsible for uploading and troubleshooting data warehouse and other files containing earnings, deductions or payroll memo related data which span more than one pay processing groups (pay groups) and coordinates this process with other payroll analysts and assisting them with balancing and processing as needed.
* Works collaboratively with payroll management and team members to modify and enhance payroll tools necessary to meet organizational control and documentation requirements.
* Maintains a high level of confidentiality and integrity in all aspects of their work.
* Responsible for training all new staff members in the steps and tools necessary to meet the organizational requirements.
* Completes review of all NOC and returned direct deposits for resolution.
* Works with payroll management in the implementation of new software functionality, best practices and organizational.
* Assists in coordinating payroll activities for the organization's merger/acquisition initiatives.
* Responsible for maintenance of payroll process documentation.
* Participates as the payroll representative in various audits as required by the organization.
* Works closely with Compensation and Benefits staff with regards to bonus calculations, financial data for bonus programs, and calculation of fringe benefit rates.
* Accurately and timely responds to business data needs creating ad hoc reports or participates in formal report creation as needed.
* Supports and assists the Payroll Tax Analyst with quarter and year-end processes.
* Processes and manages wage attachments as needed.
* Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

* High school diploma or equivalent is required.
* Bachelor degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field is preferred.
* CPP designation is preferred.
* 2+ years of experience processing payroll is required.
* Experience with an integrated payroll system is required; ADP Vantage or ADP Enterprise is preferred.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is required.
* Knowledge of payroll, employment and income tax laws, regulations and operating guidelines is required.
* Knowledge of pre-tax and post-tax payroll deductions is required.
* Knowledge of payroll accounting is required.
* Knowledge of prioritization and regulatory compliance of processing creditor garnishments, child support, administrative wage garnishments, and tax levies (state and federal) is required.
* Ability to communicate effectively to all employees regarding payroll issues resolution.
* Ability to organize information to avoid missing details.
* Ability to communicate payroll procedures to all levels of the organization.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Exceptional technology skills, including proficiency with database applications.
* Ability to work under tight time constraints, handle sensitive data and multi-task so that deadlines can be met.
* High organized and able to prioritize and manage time efficiently with the ability to handle stress in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
