Position Summary

The Assistant Vice-President - Corporate HR will develop corporate and field plans for a variety of HR matters such as compensation, benefits, health and safety etc. This position will serve as the HR lead for a specified line of business.

This position is located at our corporate office in Philadelphia, PA.

Duties & Responsibilities

* Act to support the human factor in the company by devising strategies for performance evaluation, staffing, training and development etc.
* Supervise the work of HR personnel and provide guidance.
* Serve as the point of contact for employment relations.
* Monitor adherence to internal policies and legal standards.
* Deal with grievances and violations invoking disciplinary action when required.
* Anticipate and resolve litigation risks.
* Report to senior management by analyzing data and using HR metrics.
* Ability to travel 25 - 30% is required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

* Bachelor degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field is required.
* Master degree in Human Resources is preferred.
* Multi-unit retail experience is preferred.
* PHR certification is preferred.
* Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint is required.
* Thorough understanding of employment laws and regulations is required.
* Thorough knowledge of human resource management principles and best practices is required.
* Knowledge of data analysis and reporting.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Diligent and firm with high ethical standards.
* Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
