We are currently seeking for an experienced full-time Financial Aid Advisor. Takes responsibility for high quality customer service specific to student financial aid accounts by implementing the college financial aid procedures, policies, and guidelines. Will communicate financial information in a professional and courteous manner to help students and parents understand their financial package and accountability to the college. Package students, review their FAFSA and make estimates. Participates in school activities such as graduation exercises, open houses, and new student orientations. Vigorously upholds a culture of personal integrity, discipline, and accountability.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Guide students and parents in successfully applying and receiving financial aid
  • Review students NSLDS history
  • Verify and explain financial aid awards and charges associated with the student estimates
  • Create third party student payment plans
  • Follow-up with students and make sure they understand and submit their necessary verification documents
  • Monitor and update student Financial Aid reports daily
  • Review financial aid packaging created by third party for compliance
  • Monitor SAP policy & student eligibility
  • Calculate & process returns of title lV funds
  • Serve as the campus liaison between students and our third party financial aid service and scholarship providers
  • Partner with Admission staff to ensure the student completes the enrollment and financial aid process in a timely manner
  • Submit data for IPEDS report
  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • A minimum of (3) years of professional experience in financial aid administration
  • Strong listening, problem analysis and solving skills
  • Organizational skills with an attention to detail
  • Ability to work efficiently when responding to challenging situations
  • Adaptability to work alone or within a team
  • Ability to comprehend, analyze, interpret, and apply established law, regulations, procedures, precedents, and guidelines
  • Ability to keep confidentiality of student/parent financial and personal information
