What You Will Do
Leads the implementation of procedures and strategies that support the market-wide initiatives of the Clinical Documentation and Revenue Cycle Compliance Departments. Ensures compliance of coding/billing and charging with regulatory and accreditation standards.
Responsibilities:
* Develops goals and objectives consistent with medical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements of the health care delivery system in collaboration with coding, quality, CMO's, CFO's, and other local/national leaders.
* Collaborates with AHMI Health Ministries (HM) CDI and Revenue Cycle Leadership to plan, develop, implement, and coordinate market-wide strategies.
* Identifies and builds consensus for facilitation of systems and process standardization including policies and procedures, utilization of best practices, metric development and measurement, communication, tools, and system that improves and supports overall revenue cycle and corporate responsibility functions as well as promotes practices that comply with all organizational policies, CMS guidelines and other applicable regulations.
* Defines and implements long term CDI strategies to position the organization to react and manage more quickly and effectively to future payment methodologies.
* Leads AHMI clinical documentation steering committee.
* Monitors key compliance measures and develops corrective action plans based on analysis of pre, post, and concurrent payment audits.
* Reviews audit data, evaluates trends, and analyses potential and actual financial risks.
* Reviews all third-party audit requests and results to ensure compliance with industry standards.
* Serves a resource/liaison to respond to needs of internal management, external auditors, and consultants.
* Manages the process of tracking and analyzing external audits conducted by third party payers and government agencies.

What You Will Need
Education:
* Diploma
+ Bachelor's degree required Master's degree in Business or Health related field required
Work Experience:
* Ten year's of progressive leadership responsibility in healthcare as a Manager, Director or Consultant. At least three years of working with a multi-facility hospital system required.
